Does your Claude subscription cover Motion AI Video?

Motion AI Video

A paid Claude subscription does not fund your Motion AI Video account. Motion AI Video has its own account and payment balance; you do not need a Claude subscription or your own API key to create videos here. The useful comparison is between complete working processes: how you prepare a scene, revise it, approve it and deliver the final file. A shared model name does not make two products the same purchase.

Separate three access questions

ProductWhat you checkWhat it does not establish
Claude subscriptionIncluded Claude experiences and usageAccess to a separate video service
Claude ConsoleAPI access, organization and billingA Motion AI Video credit balance
Motion AI VideoIts generation, edits and export workflowChanges to your Claude subscription

Anthropic treats Claude subscriptions and Console as separate products, with API usage billed separately. Its current documentation also says Max and Team include monthly API credits. Therefore, “no Claude plan ever includes API usage” is too broad. Identify the specific account and allowance before counting a credit balance toward a production budget.

API credits stay within their documented arrangement

Max and Team users claim those monthly credits by linking a Console organization. Unused credits expire at the billing-cycle end and cannot pay for extra usage in Claude apps or Claude Code. These are Console credits, not Motion AI Video credits. Buying or linking that allowance does not refill this video service, and this workflow does not ask you to connect a Console organization.

Compare the work needed to finish

Motion AI Video starts with a written brief and optional reference images. You choose 10, 15 or 30 seconds and a landscape, vertical or square canvas, preview the result, request changes in chat and export an MP4. These controls are the product you evaluate. They do not establish that it will always be faster than a general tool, or that a general tool will always cost less.

Use a representative onboarding announcement: one approved screenshot, one headline, one emphasis effect and a steady closing frame. Then introduce a realistic review change. Count the time to prepare assets, write instructions, inspect unintended changes and check the export. An attractive first preview is only one part of the job; a repeatable correction process matters when every release needs new copy.

Replace the opening headline “Get started faster” with “Create your first workspace.” Keep the screenshot, colors, scene order and final call to action. Adjust the line break if necessary so the complete replacement remains readable.

Match the purchase to the complete task

Creating a Motion AI Video account requires no card binding, but registration includes zero free generations and zero credits. For a single new video, the $5 USD purchase includes 10, 15 or 30 seconds, up to four reference images, built-in music, audio uploads and 1080p MP4 export without automatic renewal. Extra edits and AI voiceover use subscription credits. A one-video budget should therefore distinguish first generation from an approval process that expects revisions.

Subscriptions start at $19.90 USD monthly for Starter, or $166.80 paid yearly, equivalent to $13.90 per month. Starter supplies 1,500 credits each month under either billing interval. Compare that commitment with your actual production calendar and revision needs. If you already have another workflow that meets the task, keeping a second product should depend on measurable usefulness in your own work, not on the model label.

Set the delivery requirement before deciding

Write down the required orientation, length, readable copy and intended audio. Motion AI Video exports 1080p H.264 MP4 without a watermark, using a supported browser. That delivery capability, its editing process and the terms for your own assets matter more than assuming any particular model subscription includes the same result. Finish one representative scene, inspect the actual file, and use that evidence to decide what belongs in your regular toolkit.
